Nothing
equals scientific
fact:
This
in-vitro test compared
the effectiveness
of AIR-FLOW unit and
a polishing paste
on natural , smoothly
polished enamel surfaces.
These diagrams below
are light–microscopy
images enhanced with
a contact stylus instrument.
The
“harm” caused by this
method decreased in
the following order:
ultrasonic –rubber
cup with polishing
paste –AIR-FLOW.
AIR-FLOW
had less effect on
the enamel than the
other methods used
in this test for removing
deposits.
Considering
that traditional methods
of “professional’
tooth cleaning have
improved significantly
in the past , the
use of air polishing
units opens up new
avenues for further
research and development
in terms of method
and technique.
|
In general , the patients
were pleased with
the results of the
treatment. Unlike
conventional methods,
the AIR-FLOW cleans
teeth quickly and
without Harming the
surface of the enamel.
Harmful effects to
the enamel have been
proven for other methods. |
